WEALTHY PENSIONERS (FOREIGN RETIREES)

The Wealthy Pensioners category is designed for retirees aged 50 years and older with a stable income or substantial savings.

INCOME REQUIREMENT

  • The applicant must have a minimum unearned or passive income of USD 80,000 per year at the time of application. If the income is lower than USD 80,000 but not lower than USD 40,000, an additional investment of USD 250,000 in Thai government bonds, direct investments in Thai companies, or Thai property is required.

ALTERNATIVE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT

  • In case of personal income below USD 80,000/year but no less than USD 40,000/year, applicants must invest at least USD 250,000 in Thai government bonds, foreign direct investment, or Thai property.

WORK-FROM-THAILAND PROFESSIONALS

The Thailand LTR Visa’s Work-from-Thailand Professionals category is designed for remote workers, digital nomads, and overseas company employees seeking long-term residency in Thailand while working for foreign companies, potentially reducing visa renewals.

INCOME REQUIREMENT

  • The applicant must have a minimum annual income of USD 80,000 for the past two years, and if their income falls below USD 80,000 but not less than USD 40,000, they must also have a master’s degree, own intellectual property, or have at least five years of work experience in their current field.

EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT REQUIREMENT

  • A minimum employment contract with a publicly listed or private company with a combined revenue of USD 150 million for the last three years.

EXPERIENCE

  • Having at least 5 years of relevant experience in their current work position or field of expertise within the last 10 years.

HIGHLY-SKILLED PROFESSIONALS

Thailand’s Highly Skilled Professionals category is designed for professionals in targeted industries working for business entities, higher education institutes, research centers, specialized training institutions, or Thai government agencies. This visa is ideal for professionals with specialized skills employed in areas prioritized by Thailand’s economic and technological policies, contributing to the growth and innovation of targeted industries.

INCOME REQUIREMENT

  • A minimum average personal income of USD 80,000 per year in the past two years, and if it’s lower than USD 80,000 but not lower than USD 40,000, they must provide additional proof of qualification.
  • Thai government agency employees are exempt from the minimum personal income requirements for this visa type.

EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT REQUIREMENT

  • The applicant must be employed by contract in a Thai or foreign company or provide proof of expertise in specified fields. They must have at least 5 years of experience in targeted industries within the last 10 years. Applicants with higher degrees or working for Thai government agencies are exempt from this requirement.

Furthermore, applicants in any of the above categories must provide proof of health insurance with at least USD 50,000 coverage, or social security benefits that cover medical care in Thailand, or a minimum of USD 100,000 in bank account deposits over the previous 12 months.
